This program is generously funded by our supporters who, for a cost of $200.00, sponsor a spay or neuter voucher for owned, at-risk pit bull type dogs. If you would like to provide funding for a Spay or Neuter Voucher for an owned at-risk pit bull type dog, please visit the HDR Donation page and choose ‘Spay/Neuter Vouchers’ from the dropdown list. All tax-deductible donations are used to further the mission of Handsome Dan’s Rescue.
Handsome Dan’s Rescue provides free Spay/Neuter vouchers to owned, “at-risk” pit bull type dogs. Our definition of at-risk can include, but is not limited to: dogs in the process of being rehomed, dogs living in households with intact opposite sex dogs, dogs who are frequently in the company of other in-tact opposite sex dogs, and dogs who have been previously bred. Each request for a spay/neuter voucher is evaluated on a case-by-case basis, and vouchers are awarded at Handsome Dan’s Rescue discretion.
Voucher recipients are required to complete the application form below, and provide a photo of the dog. All surgeries are performed at one of our partner clinics, located in Rhode Island.

Thank you for requesting information about Handsome Dan’s Rescue Spay & Neuter Voucher Program. Our voucher covers the cost of a spay or neuter, along with a rabies and DHPP vaccination (if required) for pit bull type dogs, at our partner vet in Rhode Island.
Please note that this program only applies to at-risk pit bull type dogs. In order to qualify, you must fill out all fields in the application below, and submit.
