Please note that Handsome Dan’s Rescue does not give priority to applications on a first-come, first-served basis. We consider all applications individually and base approval on the best match for the dog. Just as we wish for all dogs to be viewed as individuals, we view all applicants as individuals so we have no restrictions based on fenced yards or length of time at residence. We do, however, only consider homes in the Southern New England area in case an adoption does not work out as we make a lifetime commitment to the dogs in our program.
