Shelter Worker of the Year Award – 2017

An award to honor animal care workers employed by Rhode Island Shelters and Animal Care Facilities.


Nominees must be employed by any RI shelter or animal care facility. Nominees may not work in a supervisory, management or other lead role at the facility. Nominees must be employees, not volunteers. Friends, family, co-workers, supervisors and members of the community are encouraged to nominate an eligible candidate.


Submit a 500 word or less statement about the nominee, as well as one photo of the nominee (to be posted online) include the full name, the shelter name, and contact information for both yourself and the nominee.
